The Faculty of Law at the Arab Open University Oman welcomes you to its website. Here, you can get acquainted with the Faculty of Law, which took its first steps at the end of 2018, making it the newest addition to the university’s academic programmes..
The Arab Open University was established with the aim of developing and disseminating knowledge and building expertise according to global quality standards without time or space barriers. It strives to contribute in preparing human resources needed for sustainable development and building a knowledge-based society in Arab countries.
By graduating a generation of competent young people capable of taking responsibility in various fields, the Faculty of Law works to fulfil the university's mission in legal education. This is achieved by supplying the labour market with qualified legal professionals who are rational and wise, focusing on attaining legal justice.
Our curricula are distinguished by their primary focus on developing research capabilities and enhancing professional skills for students and graduates through practical training programmes, both internally and externally. This includes legal training in distinguished law offices and various government agencies. Additionally, we have established a specialized (training court) room in order to provide practical and simulated learning and training requirements.
In our continuous effort to build a competent legal generation, the Faculty of Law regularly reviews and updates its study plans to align with legal developments at both the local and international levels. This ensures that our graduates are well-versed in contemporary issues and committed to developing their legal skills in the future.
Despite its recent establishment, the Faculty of Law has contributed to several community service activities such as workshops, scientific conferences, and educational lectures. We strive to enhance this aspect of our work through further contributions.
Strengthening the bonds between our students and distinguished faculty members, known for their expertise and scientific capabilities, is a cornerstone of our educational plan's success. Our faculty members are deeply committed to guiding students in their academic journey so as to ensure that they are adequately informed and prepared to deal with the rigour of the learning environment.
