In light of the challenges that lead some students to drop out of university education, resulting in lost opportunities and wasted energy, the university launched the "Yes, I Can" initiative to boost student motivation and enable them to clearly define their future from the beginning of their academic journey. The initiative seeks to help students define their academic and professional goals and provide a supportive environment that fosters a sense of belonging and confidence in their abilities. It also contributes to building self-awareness among students and motivates them to continue, by linking education to their personal and professional futures.

This initiative fosters an open platform for storytelling, encouraging students to reflect on their academic journeys, personal growth, and unique challenges. Through collaborative sessions, participants exchange ideas, share insights, and create connections that transcend individual perspectives. The lab serves as a safe space for students to express themselves, whether through spoken word, digital media, written narratives, or group discussions. It aims to inspire creativity, promote inclusivity, and strengthen the sense of community among participants.

The initiative includes organizing workshops and awareness seminars on the importance of kindness in academic and professional life. It also offers volunteer programs both on campus and within local communities, where participants are encouraged to provide tangible assistance to those in need, whether in the form of academic, social, or health-related services. Additionally, the initiative features awareness campaigns through social media to raise awareness of the concepts of kindness and giving. These campaigns may include calls to participate in volunteer activities and charitable projects, as well as sharing inspiring stories about kindness in everyday life. Through the "Kindness Ambassadors" initiative, the Arab Open University seeks to create a more positive and inclusive academic and professional environment that enhances social interaction and supports the personal and human development of students, faculty members, and staff alike.
